Finding the right dirt bike to help you navigate the muddy trails throughout Zanesville, Thornville, and Cambridge, or to land a remarkable jump, is no easy feat. While there’s plenty of options out there for you to consider, you may want to take a closer look at the 2018 Honda CRF450WE. The Works Edition of this bike adds a few new bells and whistles that add to the style, the performance, and the comfort.
At Treadway Honda Suzuki Polaris, we’re here to give you some more in-depth details to help you determine if this is the bike you’ve been looking for!
2018 CRF450WE Engine Specs
This bike comes outfitted with a 449cc Liquid-Cooled Single-Cylinder 4-Stroke engine that not only gives the bike an impressive performance, but sounds off a guttural exhaust that adds to the experience of riding or spectating. This engine includes the Programmed Fuel Injection which determines how much fuel the engine needs based on how hard you’re pushing the bike. The close-ration 5-speed transmission allows for a smooth acceleration because the gears aren’t as spaced apart as other bikes on the market, allowing for seamless acceleration transitions.
Chassis Components & Brakes
Suspension is an important factor to consider with your dirt bike, especially if your goal is to get some air while heading off a jump. The front of the CRF450WE includes the 49mm inverted Showa Ford with rebound and compression damping adjustability with a single 260mm disc brake with twin-piston calipers. The rear includes the Pro-Link Showa single shock with adjustable spring preload, rebound, and compression damping adjustability with a single 240mm disc brake.
Works Edition Updates
While the standard CRF450R performs magnificently and has an impressive style, the Works Edition factor adds a bit more to the overall dirt bike experience. On top of the improvements from the standard model, this bike includes a special hand-ported cylinder head, black DID LT-X rims, a factory-spec gripper seat, and full HRC decals.
The bike also adds a few new components to the undercarriage, including exclusive Yoshimura mufflers, titanium nitride-coated lower fork legs and shock shaft, an RK gold chain, special ECU settings, black triple clamps, and a re-valved suspension to add more bounce when nailing a landing.
2018 CRF450WE Style
This bike certainly has an aesthetic appeal with its sharp and sleek body style. On top of the aggressive Dunlop MX3S tires, the body offers a sporty competition-based appearance with its red color and the HRC decals on the tail of the bike. Its front end features sharp panels that highlight the biker’s “force to be reckoned with” nature.
